I am 6' 3", my wife is 5' 4" and we have a 179.  I ended up doing a minor mod that allows us to sleep with our heads to the front end of the trailer.  The first thing we did was replace the ridiculous FR supplied mattress with a 9" DreamFoam Eurotop mattress from Amazon which has been amazing. I then mad a plywood extension with a 1x4 spacer board on the end with the board cut such the the plywood is level when it is stuck under the bed mattress while resting on top of the island base.  The 8" seat cushion is then roughly level with the top of the mattress. I used some velcro strips to keep the plywood in place under the mattress and on the plywood with the existing seat cushion velcro to keep it from sliding. When not in use the plywood slides out of the way under the mattress and the seat gets put back to it's normal configuration.  This has worked great and provides me with plenty of leg room.

I am 6'4" and a large guy. I spent a lot of time shopping for a camper and I now need a new TV to pull the RPod first. 

At 6'4" I fill the space sleeping and my head and feet both touch in the 179 model main bed. As I am a side sleeper and I can curl up a little I found this to be a non issue. But I know I would never sprawl out on the bed, well at least not when the wife is there. 

Best bet is to go for a ride and go see them. Bring a book and a pillow and lay in the bed. You have to see if YOU are comfortable.

I'm 6'4" and have spent the last three weekends camping with our 178. I agree with making it work, but really enjoyed the trailer. If I only used things that were designed for my height I would still be waiting.    We had the 171 model and length of bed was not a problem my wife and I are only 5' 9". But crawling over one another to exit bed was a problem. After about three years I decided to lower dinette table and sleep there and let my wife have the rear queen bed. I am 6'3" and "make it work". I love my RPod so much that I am willing to sacrifice a "little" diagonal sleeping. I probably spend 90% of my sleeping time curled up on my side, so it is a non issue in that situation. Pillows take up space too. Unless you like to sleep with your knees bent, you might want to look at a full width camper.
