It costs big $$$ for anything that's not traditional lead/acid chemistry. Lead/Acid works fine for the price. The best bang for the buck would be 2 deep cycle golf cart batteries ( 6 Volt  X 2) .  Spending more money for Li-Ion or Ni-Mh would be money thrown away in my opinion.

Personally I have 2 X 12 volt standard lead acid dual purpose (starting/deep cycle) batteries, the kind that are almost universally standard equipment for travel trailers. WHile they wouldn't last as long as true deep cycle batteries, they get me through 4 days without charging if I don't have to run the furnace much.

An RV is not the venue for Lithium Technology.
