    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=418" rel="nofollow">Outbound</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 5889<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 14 Apr 2015 at 11:26am<br /><br />As everyone has suggested, you'll need to make a couple cuts in the skirt to accommodate the axle and the step. &nbsp;I suggest that you make three *vertical* cuts from the ground that go approx 1/2 up the skirt: one for the axle, and one on either side of the step (so that the middle piece hangs down behind the step.)<div><br></div><div>One caution tho: that skirt isn't going to keep a keen dog inside the rdome.</div><div><br></div><span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by Outbound - 14 Apr 2015 at 11:26am</span>]]>

The answer is to cut the skirt into two pieces, a front and a back. You will also need to make a verticle cut to allow for your models step placement. The domes are generic, and not model, or even Pod specific. They actually come from the popup world. The skirt is not very dog proof.<br>]]>

The lower channel has a break to accommodate the wheel. There is a front channel and a rear one on the door side of my 179. There is no way to thread from the front and the back. Either or. Plus the channel butts right to the fender.<div><br></div><div>Now don't tell me not to use it because we want to keep the dog in and the bugs out. We need to make this work. If any one uses the bottom skirt with the Rdome on a 179, I would love to here from you.</div><div><br></div><div>See you Texas podders in East Texas in the fall for the group campout.</div>]]>
