Greetings to all,
We began camping over 40 years ago and made the same progression as many of you. Tent-tent on wheels (Nimrod)-Coleman popup. While I continued to tent camp when backpacking and canoeing in the BW we thought that it was time to look for a small TT. After attending the RV show in Chicago last year we settled on a size range but not a particular unit. Then last summer we saw our first RPod. It had all the things we felt we necessary.
We found and used this forum to cinch the decision (thanks).
Last week, we purchased a 179. Our wish list included a microwave/convection oven, risers and the R-dome. The dealer is in IN not IL and is actually string the unit for us until we pick it up in the spring. W/ 19.3 inches of snow 2 days ago and more predicted for today we felt that this was a good decision. The dealer even invited us to stay @ their full hook-up sites when we come to pick up the unit so that we can ask follow-up questions the following day.
We are looking forward to camping this summer and hope to meet w/ some of you on the road.
