I would say that would have created a weight issue on the slide motors having to move the storage. I get what you mean. The bottom of the slide is at the seat level of the bench. Well that was a missed opportunity for some great storage. Angry

Sorry I dont get what you mean. I never actually closed the slide while I was looking. Is there storage under this cushion? if not what is in there?

Ninjamini-if you are talking about under the seat in the slide out there is nothing there. All that's there is the bottom of the slide box. i was watching a video about the essentials for camping. The guy who filmed it has a 179 as well. I am amazed about all the stuff you actually need to get going. But there was not 1 item he showed in his 40 minute video that I don't now think I need.

I know there was storage under the couch on the end by the bed and the end at the back was reserved for electrical. But what about the space under the long bench against the wall. Is that storage? I can not remember checking under there. Anyone want to snap a pic for me?
