Author: J&Jcf
Subject: 5732
Posted: 25 Jan 2015 at 6:58pm

Just thought a little more about helpful hints on using a TT. These are only to personal preference 1) I always travel with a empty water tank (always sterilized fresh water tank before each use: unless trips are very close together) 2) empty gray & black water tanks before leaving last CG. This is all extra weight to tow. 3) Don't forget to fill up fresh water tank before setting up on a site.4) If you have rdome and plan on using it make sure site is big enough to fit it on(at least ten extra feet). 5) check lights and brakes each time you hookup( I keep a short piece of broom handle cut to length to fit to push brake and seat ) so I can check on them myself. Should see that all lights working and hear humming by each wheel if brakes operating. I set brake control to come on just after or at same time as tow vehicle (TV). Each brake controllled is different on settings. Dealer (if new) should have helped set this up. I am sure there are other hint others can make to help you out.

Enjoy your experience and don't be afraid to ask for info or help from other RVers at anyplace you camp. We have all been there .

The tip I offer is boring, but one of the best things that will help you get acquainted fast with your new POD is RTMs. Read all The Manuals, and then read them all again, and then get them organized and keep them with you on camping trips. Have Fun!

Each offered different experiences and options. We got our pod in August. We have used it 3 times since then. The first time was for 2 days (bought used out of state) and found out what repairs needed to be made and some possible mods. 2 trips since and each trip I get ideas of upgrades and mods that would make it more comfortable & usable. Each trip make a mental note or list of possible improvements. Also check all info on the rpod forums.
