The Pod bathroom is a little small. I'm not the biggest guy--a little rotund and a lot clumsy. Our Pod's shower wand did not have an on/off control. I replaced it with one that did, and wrapped the hot/cold knobs with a velcro strap. I don't think the Pod bathroom is condusive to a reading scenario.  I'm of a plumber stature, I have no issue using it, showering in there, etc.  I can't imagine getting comfy on that seat though for any longer than required.
