Understanding that re-sizing a photo has two caveats: 1) You can re-size a photo without changing the resolution; this is done to make prints of the size intended. 2) You can re-size a photo to reduce its "digital size" (reduce resolution) and make it more suitable for posting on the internet...it's all about managing resources AKA...Storage and/or Bandwidth, that is, the pipeline used to store and post said image.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>High resolution photos are necessary for making good quality prints, however, digitally displayed photos require much less resolution and therefore, is a waste of resources to Email, or Post, or Store GIGANTIC files when using digital forms.&nbsp;</div><div><span style="line-height: 1.4;"><br></span></div><div><span style="line-height: 1.4;">You are on the way to mastering the tools of your particular form.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="line-height: 1.4;">Your on the right track...<img src="https://www.rpod-owners.com/smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" alt="Thumbs Up" title="Thumbs Up" /></span></div>]]>

I downloaded the app referred to in the article and it works.... mostly.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It compresses the file size, but just not quite enough to upload. I emailed the developer and their suggestion was to reduce the amount of pixels first and then run the app. Geez.  Now to go and figure out how to do that ...]]>

After it loads the photos to be sent I just pull them off and put them into a folder on my desktop and then delete the Email that was never intended to go anywhere. Height will automagically be calculated</div><div><br></div><div>2) File Menu:Save for Web and Devices. Use preset "Jpeg High" and save.</div><div><br></div><div>That's all you should have to do. If you need some screen grabs for me to explain a bit better, let me know. Been doing this for a loooong time. To make the image a small enough file size to upload, the image is so tiny you can't see it. I can post links to a Flickr album, but that, in my opinion is not ideal for every situation. <br /><br />I do use an iMac, but I know nothing about iPhoto, as my preferred editing software is Photoshop. ]]>

Any advice on an app that will resize the photos correctly?  I was having a difficult time doing this from my computer also. I know a little about photo editing with PSE12 and can resize photos to post on the web for websites like Flickr so the photos don't take so long to load, but maintain their integrity. But getting them "small" enough Kb-wise for this forum is a challenge!<br /><br />Any tips for the iPhone or for the computer would be appreciated. <br /><br />Danke! ]]>
