    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=3092" rel="nofollow">kylekai</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 5568<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 01 Dec 2014 at 2:05pm<br /><br />The solar is an 80 watt Zamp. &nbsp;It worked great! &nbsp;At night the batteries showed a voltage of about 12.2, and by noon the next day it was usually up to 13.5 or 14, depending on the amount of sun. &nbsp;I locked the panel to the r-pod using a long flexible computer locking cable so I felt safe leaving it out when off hiking and overnight. &nbsp;It sure beats using a noisy stinky generator anytime.]]>

I thought about Joshua tree but I haven't looked at availability yet. Everywhere I have tried on the coast between sand diego and long beach is sold out with the exception of a few high class motorhome resorts, no thanks. Even Death valley (furnace creek) is sold out. I'm pretty amazed this many people do Thanksgiving in the RV. Pretty cool.<br /><br />We were thinking possibly pirate cove on the Colorado River or Shoshone CA near Death valley, Haven't decided.<br /><br />Maybe we will head down to the monument]]>
