It's too tall by 3 in. to make flat bed. Plus always in the way. When you figure it out please post.&nbsp; Are your Kitchen drawers all half size? Ive looked in other 179 hood river editions and the only half drawer is the top one. Our dealer says there is no room for a full size drawer. I'm wondering if they just don't want to switch them out.]]>

I bought a piece of 6" foam from the same place to fit the bed shape and then put whatever you call the factory mattress thingie on top of that. Sits a lot firmer and sleeps well.]]>

We picked up ours last month and are anxiously awaiting spring time for our test run. For now it's sitting beside the garage&nbsp;<img src="http://www.rpod-owners.com/smileys/smiley18.gif" border="0" alt="Ouch" title="Ouch" /><br><br>You might want to do a search on ebay for short queen memory foam mattresses. We replaced the factory mattress already with a medium firm memory foam off of ebay for $239, including shipping, and while we haven't slept on it yet I can tell it will be comfortable just from laying on it. We have the wrap around dinette so we would like to cut the table as you have indicated. In our case, a post could be reinforced at the box point after beefing it up.     <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=3180" rel="nofollow">Luv2Q</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 5550<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 29 Nov 2014 at 2:39pm<br /><br />We find the dinette seating to be a little awkward, too. &nbsp;But replacing the table with the aluminum roll-up isn't an option for us because we want to retain the extra sleeping space the table provides when converted to "bed mode". &nbsp;<div><br></div><div>Our solution: we'll use the wall mount hardware + pedestal found at&nbsp;<a href="http://shop4seats.com/rv-furniture/dinettes/dinette-hardware.html" target="_blank">http://shop4seats.com/rv-furniture/dinettes/dinette-hardware.html</a>. &nbsp;The angle part of the table will be cut off. &nbsp;The raw edge remaining will go up against the wall &amp; be hidden. &nbsp;And, depending on how heavy the cut-down table is, I might replace it with a similar sized piece of 3/4" light ply. &nbsp;Anyway, the shorter table and a pedestal rather than the fold-up legs should make it easier to be seated.</div><div><br></div><div>I've just received the hardware. &nbsp;Now, in amongst the holidays, I just need to make time to install it.</div>]]>
