tounge weight : As a newbie waiting for the spring...

    Author: Larry158
Subject: 5485
Posted: 27 Oct 2014 at 7:53pm

As a newbie waiting for the spring & waiting for my first trip I am still asking a lot of questions. Purchased a 178 this month & anxiously awaiting spring. I have set up on the tongue two batteries, deep cycle marine RV. My 178 came stock with a 20lb propane tank which weighs in at 38lbs when full. I am thinking of switching out this steel tank for a 30lb aluminum tank which weighs, when full, 48lbs. This tank will weather much better than the steel tank.Does this extra weight pose a problem while towing. Appreciate your response.
Thanks Larry
