When we went to a closer dealer for warranty work we got the same runaround. The parts guy who was listening in approached us in the parking lot and told us to just tell them we moved to their area. Show ID to "prove" you now live in the area and they will do the work no problem. Weird but it worked. just sayin...Clap

I wish I liked the Texas beach since it is a fairly convenient distance from here. I was a lake/river rat growing up and prefer fresh water

Now, I did spend a week at the Florida beach when my kids were younger and did enjoy that. Completely different experience for me. And while I'm on the subject - we stayed at St. Joeseph State Park. Man, it is beautiful! Rated one of the best beaches in the nation. Crystal clear water and white sand. We wish we could go this weekend and we thought about it, but we decided it might be a better idea to test all the systems in our driveway before hitting the road.

We WANT to go Thanksgiving weekend - Friday to Sunday - but having a heck of a time finding a place. I will look into Choke Canyon. I know I sound like a bad Texan, but I really don't like the Texas coast.

Me too! I made them a very reasonable cash offer and they moved, but not enough. Good to hear that maybe the local region may have a dealer with a reasonable price now.

Yes, it is the late model. Manufacture date of August 2014. We were so surprised that the dealer in Round Rock was willing to make a deal with us. Came close enough to the Iowa price + travel expenses that we felt good about it to say yessssiirrreee! They - at Princesscraft dealership - were very nice and helpful too. We will pick it up Friday afternoon and head directly to the campground - no wasting time to give her a whirl! Thanks, Mark.  That sounds a whole lot more reasonable and in line with what most people toting around an expensive toy would expect from the selling organization (as opposed to just "dealership").

Wow, if Forest River knows about this type of policy with one of their dealers and comdones it - shameful!

I purchased from Cheyenne Camping Center and so far I am getting good warranty service from my dealer. They have worked with Dometic to obtain a new fridge door and have referred me to several options within my area to get service.

100% true... I bought from Couch's in Ohio, I live in Connecticut, and a dealer of R-Pods is 15 minutes from my house but was $3000+ more than Couch's. So i drove to Ohio, and towed the new Pod back.

Ended up having a water leak in the water heater (turned out to be a bad Heat Element gasket), but the local R-Pod dealer WOULD NOT touch it. Very abrupt , and matter of fact, "No, we do not have to service any RV we don't sell"... Couch's had to call around and find a Forest River dealer (40 minutes away) who would fix it. They did not sell R-Pods but were very good about doing the work (even though it took 2 attempts, and a lot of towed miles back and forth to get it done).
