Pretty much exactly how I feel. We can afford it, so I think I will let the decision lie with wife. I would probably take the money. She will probably take peace of mind.

BTW, I checked about lesser years/rates. They definitely want the money up front:

4 years: $600

5 years: $626

6 years: $657

Did the extended warranty option help your decision on purchasing your unit? Curious if it helps resale.

Thanks!

fred

Our 2014 178 is just about one year old w/about 10,000 miles on it. We probably won't put that many miles every year, but we do intend to use it quite often.

I just received the paperwork from my dealer for an extended warranty. On the surface it actually looks like a pretty good deal and I'm not usually an extended warranty buyer.

The plan:

Towable-New. Platinum plan. Pretty much bumper to bumper including slide out, appliances, AV, etc.

72 month term (6 years). $100.00 deductible. Can transfer upon sale for $75.00.

Contract plan: $657.00 plus tax.

The little bit of research I can find on the web seems to indicate this is a pretty good deal. What do you think?

Thanks!

fred
