When I say plan to, right now ours is in the shop having the frame replaced that rusted out and was a recall, thank God.
We have a loaner 2013 Nissan Frontier 4x4 6cyl. that pulls it pretty good. Anyone have any helpful info we could use for the Tacoma? Thanks

What size is your 'Pod?
I am towing a 171 with a Wrangler (3.8l) and put in a brake booster with no problem. I was worried about the tongue weight of 225lbs maybe squatting down the Jeep, but again, it had no problems. Being the smaller 'Pod it pulled it okay, not fantastic with the wrong diff ratio, but just okay.

I did a quick image search on Google 'Tacoma with Rpod'. Looks like you're not alone on the road with your 'Yota / Pod combo!

Your Tacoma's tow capacity is 3500-5000lbs (depending on tow package/trim level/2wd vs 4wd, etc etc)

You're fine....happy camping!!

Eric
