Guess they are covering themselves. <br /><br />There is a Toyota dealer in North Carolina that sells original parts at a 20% discount, but I just asked the local parts guy to match the price and he did. <br /><br />We pulled our R-Pod with a 03 Tundra that had the 6 cylinder engine and didn't have any real problems other than hills and high winds, we pull a Surveyor with our Tundra(big engine) now and to some extent have the same problem just not as defined.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=3006" rel="nofollow">Marx</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 5122<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 07 Aug 2014 at 5:43pm<br /><br />I would guess it's something about being able to read in terms of type of head unit as an option that the truck comes with in terms of functionality?&nbsp; I'm with CharlieM my 13 Tacoma back up camera works fine.&nbsp; Either way I could have cared less about the goodie item it is, having said that though it is soo nice lol.&nbsp; Makes hooking up a lot easier.&nbsp; I was more interested in the exact drive train, 4x4, doublecab, and long bed.&nbsp; To be specific I have a TRD Sport 4x4 4.0 V6 Doublecab long bed, towing capacity is 6400lbs.&nbsp; Some Tacoma models can tow more though depending on the truck model.&nbsp; The goodies were not a biggie to me.&nbsp; I plan to have this truck for 300k, so more than likely some of this stuff will quit working down the road.&nbsp; My prior full size Dodge was terrible.&nbsp; I think it's hard to compete with a Toyota product these days, just my 2 cents though. &nbsp;]]>

Fuel mileage drops from 18-20 commuting to 10-11 towing. It is also rated at #4500. <br>The closest Pod dealer to us in Duluth only carries two models (as of last summer) the 177s and I don't remember the other model.&nbsp; They said other models sometimes don't move as well so they don't try to stock them.]]>

We haven't taken any long trips yet but it seems to do well so far.  MPG went down significantly but we have plenty of power for the small hills in southern Illinois.]]>
