Well it is screwed into the trailer sub-floor using 1" screws the same way FR installs all their Adell clamps for wire looms etc.

Kinda looks like a tank in the pic but,what your seeing is the black moisture barrier material. It is plywood so no problem there.

I just made a simple "U" bracket out of "Strut" material....same stuff garage door tracks are hung from the ceiling with Wink

It is a 4" drop (width of frame  rails)..so it looks like this..  ___              ___

The holes are already in the Strut and line up with the mounting holes in the Tube.Just slice one side and bend.

I mounted the Tube about 42" measuring from the front frame crossmember.That way access is possible on the curb side next to the steps if needed,the steps won't block access.

I then mounted the short tube that came from the factory next to the new one with a hang down bracket I fabbed up since it doesn't reach the other frame rail.I keep a bag of gloves and a dedicated spray nozzle in that.

I might even get one of those "pocket hoses" as seen on TV ,I bet it would  fit in the short tube also.LOL

Be sure and order the one that 43" to 80"...plus $7.00

They look cool side by side since made by the same manufacturer.

Well I installed the "Super Slider" today on Ginger.

Very,very nice product.4 self-tapper metal screws works great.

It will hold the 15ft. Rhino hose,sewer adapter and 5" clear connector all inside!

Highly recommended!

Fred, I can't answer your first question.  I have had my HydroFlush for many years, long before built-in black tank rinsers were available, and even then I would rinse out the grey water tank while I was at it.  I still rinse out my grey water tank, although it is probably not necessary.  But more importantly, I use the HydroFlush after I close the grey water valve.  The strong flow of water flows through the sewer hose, really flushing the hose clean, much cleaner than by just letting the grey water flush it. 

Prior to removing the sewer hose from the black water valve, I use the same procedure so the hose is "almost" sanitized before I move it to the grey water valve.  (Yes, I realize that flushing the hose does not sanitize it, but it makes it more pleasant to handle).

BTW, there are at least 2 models of the HydroFlush, one has a 45 degree angle, the other a 90 degree angle.  I use the 45.

I strongly recommend the HydroFlush.  It has all the advantages of the clear connector but enables you to flush the grey water tank and hose, which you normally would not do.

The clear connector does make the process a bit more interesting. More importantly, it takes the guesswork out of when you've flushed the black tank pretty well. I tend to flush the black tank every time I empty just cuz it's easy. I do carry a separate 25' length of garden hose dedicated to black tank flush.

I'm thinking that slide-out thing you came up with would be a great place for me to stash some fishing poles!! Thanks!

I got one of the big (5"x60" I think) tubes they sell at Camping World. I didn't really want to try to drill into the frame, so I used some heavy duty zip ties. I took a slightly different path, ordering a 61 1/2 D&W SuperTube to hold a 15' RhinoFLEX Hose and fittings. It doesn't have that super cool slide out that you have and it cost a little more ($77.34 w/shipping), but it was a perfect fit and 10 minute install with 4 stainless self-tappers.

I quickly found the sewer hose that came with the pod to be too short and messy. The 15' RhinoFLEX Hose w/clear swivel fitting makes a much more meaningful poo path.

I was looking for a better way to store my sewer hose.  I saw on other RV forums where folks used a 5x5 PVC fence post with a PVC Gutter as a slide out.  A simple dowel cut for a handle, screwed in from the sides.  It also doubles as a sewer line support if needed.  I saw many ways to attach the PVC Post, but ended up just bolting it to the frame with a washer/bolt.  Used it the first time this weekend, man it works great!!!!  Doesn't look too bad either.  Has room to store my 90 degree attachment as well...  Here are the pictures...   The end caps are held on with small bungie cords to eyelets.  Whole thing cost me about $48, parts at Home Depoe for the PVC, local hardware store for nuts & bolts...  Only adjustment I had to make was move a Propane line clamp attachment forward about 3-4 inches (EASY).]]> Sun, 03 Aug 2014 01:29:46 +0000 http://www.rpod-owners.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=5100&PID=49536#49536
