I also bought my rpod at Campkins - they're a great dealer, with a great service department. If they say it can be plastic welded, they can do it. Sorry to hear about this. Epoxy might be a good temp fix too? Plastic welding works fine if done properly. Anyway now that I have your attention.

I was just getting the carr-pod ready for a three week trip to northern ontario when I discovered a leak in the fresh water tank. Don't know how it happened but the plastic has cracked around the drain plug and the water pretty much just pours out.

I have made a temporary patch and the dealer says that a crack can be plastic welded. I have checked the internet and it looks like it can be repaired. Hopefully the tank doesn't have to be removed. I have no idea how much that will cost. My dealer (Campkins) is looking into a possible warranty claim but I am not holding my breath.

Has anyone had any expierance like this? I thought the tank had to be replaced.

What a thing too find only hours before leaving on a major trip. Luckily I am a little handy with tools unlike my posting ability.
