I'll add to the above comment, I'm thinking we should have done our homework and looked into a new purchase. From what I'm seeing these days we probably paid the price of a new with the surrender of our 2011 Aliner Expedition plus $5,000 for a 2011 182G. This morning we are to pick up our pod but not all things were covered under warranty and we bought a Platinum policy, just sayn' rethink used and if you could go with new, I'd do it.

Molly B Free, for what it's worth--the new 2014, or newer, RPods come with a no-extra-cost life-time warranty, contingent on regular inspection/maintenance performed by a certified maintenance shop. You don't get this warranty with a used unit, even if it's this current year model. One good reason for maybe pursuing a new unit, rather than a good, clean used unit. I looked at newer used units, and there just wasn't enough price difference to convince me to swing with the used one. Bankston RV Sales out of Huntsville, AL, has a satellite office in the Opryland area of Nashville.  They usually have some new R-Pods on the lot and might be able to help with a used one.

Welcome to the group. We are trading in our 2010 Rpod 171 towards a 2015 Rpod 179. the dealer is giving us $10,000 trade in towards the 179. The Pods really hold their value as we paid $15,995 for it new in Aug of 2009.    It sounds like a good idea r-pods make good hotel rooms. If you check out the campers on this forum that come available for sale you may find one close to home. My name is Molly and I hope to soon be an R Pod owner.  If anyone can give me any advice as to where I might find a used R-Pod within a 50 mile radius of Nashville, TN, I would greatly appreciate it.  I live in NC and I have two sons and two grandbabies that live in Nashville that I visit often, but they do not have the extra room for "Mimi". Hotels are getting expensive and I would love to have something easy to tow to park in their back yards.   Thanks for your help and I look forward to getting to know everyone and hear about your R-Pod adventures!
