There is nothing in the floor for strength. The plywood is thin.
I know this because I drilled through with a half inch bit to mount a hanger, and abandoned the idea after seeing the foam spill out from underneath, I sealed it up with silicone.

I want to put a bracket into the floor of the pass-thru for storing levelling boards. Drilled one hole, it seems VERY flimsy. Should I use glue, and if so, what is best one? Do #8 3/4 inch long screws hold in the floor?? Should I use these - 'Multi-Purpose Anchor Kit with Screws' or 'molly screws' (from previous post)?? Is there a better idea??

2. I'd like to add towel bar above radio on my 171 but would need to pull radio out partway to see inside above radio, but screws of radio are not phillips type. Is there a technical term for the radio's screw type? (I don't want to wreck the screws)

Thanks for your patience.
