We have a 171 and tow with a Dodge grand Caravan with the 3.6 Penstar v6 and have had no problem towing up and down the east coat from Vermont to the keys. We have also towed through the Pocono"s. Plenty of power and pretty decent mileage 13.5 through the mountains and 14.5-16 depending on wind once we hit the flatlands of Massachusetts and below.
I would say go through everything with your dealer before you leave the lot, have him run the stove , fridge, furnace, a/c,check all the lights after that you should be good.

enjoy your pod!!
