It has to do with amount of metal and it's edges/reflective angles. Like I said, ours is designed that the metal platter is in there always, but FR uses a couple different microwaves, so it depends on which you have. <br><br>BTW, no matter which you have, if you pop microwave popcorn, put it on a microwave safe plate that is inverted, holding the bag at least 1/2 inch above the platter. You will have MUCH better results that way.&nbsp; <img src="https://www.rpod-owners.com/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /><br>]]>
