It is my understanding that Ceramics work very well under normal conditions. If you routinely do severe braking(police, taxicab, Very heavily loaded) then Semi Metallic brake pads are for you.

Yes, if I am not mistaken, the ceramic should be speced on a 2010 F150.. you can buy organic pads, and that is what a cheesy dealer will put on for the used car "fresh brakes" claim. I think the ceramic are better as you will not get the black brake dust all over your wheels, I have them on the Jeep and my work car and both stop great. I thought that they were standard on all new cars.
