Congrats on your new purchase. Keep an eye on this forum. I will be posting details in the spring. Because of overwhelming response, I have reserved 50 sites for next year. When you see the posting, my recommendation would be to make your reservation immediately. Even though there may be some changes in your schedule as the roundup date approaches, you can still cancel a few weeks in advance and get a refund. Hope to see you next year. Wow!! What a time we had. Almost 80 campers joined us for a fabulous weekend on the beach. It turns out the 80% from last year joined us again. Some new faces and lots of fun. Marwayne(Sonny and his wife) joined us all the way from Alberta, Canada with their terrific modded Pod. There were lines all day outside their trailer for a looksee. Fantastic. A big thanks to Steve Underwood for creating a song that was sung around the campfire on Sat. nite. This was the second year he created a new song for our outing. The deGuehery's again joined us from N. Carolina as well as Harold Kemnitz who again joined us from Florida. All you east coasters are certainly welcome for next year. We had a number of campers who were turned away this year as all the spots sold out quickly. I have reserved 50 spots for next year. Will announce in the Spring. Hopefully, will see you then. We had a great time at this round-up! Many thanks to Camper Bob an Sue for taking the lead. Bob was a terrific host and made everyone feel comfortable and welcome (and gave out some nice Forest River freebies).

If you have a chance to come to this NW round-up in future years, you should do it!

Sorry you won't be able to join us. I know as a dog owner, when making reservations at many other public and private parks, with our dog, I have been made aware of those restrictions. Since you mention that you have faced this before, I guess this should not come as a complete surprise. Since the park operator could also be held liable if something untoward occurred involving one of your pets, I would assume that their insurance company is calling the shots, justified or not. Another option would possibly be that you could board your pets locally and still be able to join us. We are new Podster's and really wanted to attend but ran into a steam roller with an attitude about dog breeds.

We have an American Bulldog/Pit Mix and a Russell/Pit mix and they are adamant about "NO" breeds with "Pit" or "Rot" in their makeup.

We also have run into that at other campgrounds in the state of Oregon and will be following up to see if there exists a trend.

It doesn't appear to be state parks as much as other than state parks.

This is information that can, and probably will, be useful when considering outings.

Needless to say our September calendar has been modified!

How do you tell if there are spots open? I looked on their site, and seemed I could have reserved, but I didn't know if it would have been one of the rally reserved spots or??? I have reserved 40 full hookups at Oceanside RV Park in Charleston, OR. Dates are Sept. 4-6th. The phone number is 541-888-2598. I sent an email to all who attended last year and already have 22 spots reserved. Will also post on other Pod forum and the FROG forum.
