Traffic and crowds much reduced. Water temps warm enough for northerners to swim. Air temps probably in the high 80's and daily afternoon showers will not have begun yet. But of course humidity will be increasing. (Come July water and air are nearly indistinguishable)</div><div>If you would like you can give me a call(239-395-2403) and I can give you some advice on some things to do and see on the island.     <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=217" rel="nofollow">techntrek</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 4413<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 21 Feb 2014 at 9:53am<br /><br />Often you can order the same tranny cooler that is used as part of your vehicle's tow package from your dealer, and install it yourself, or have them do it.&nbsp; You can also get aftermarket coolers from places like etrailer and Summit Racing.&nbsp; Ask your dealer what other parts are usually included in the tow package&nbsp;and decide if you need them.&nbsp;&nbsp;A&nbsp;larger alternator&nbsp;can often be skipped (especially if you run the camper's&nbsp;fridge in gas mode while on the road), and you can usually get the receiver hitch and wiring harness&nbsp;installed cheaper at places like Uhaul.&nbsp; Larger suspension components are recommended but if you instead use a WDH you may be able to skip that.&nbsp; Sometimes bigger brakes (calipers, rotors, pads)&nbsp;are part of the package -&nbsp;something I would not skip but it will be very expensive to swap out those parts and at that point you should&nbsp;weigh the cost of&nbsp;a more capable TV.<DIV></DIV><DIV></DIV>&nbsp;<DIV>As for the radiator, usually extra cooling isn't needed here once you add accessory cooling to the other systems (tranny, oil, power steering).</DIV>]]>

Haven't used it yet but soon will be taking it down to Big Pine Key from my home in Sanibel FL for a shake down run. Dealer has been good at getting a few broken parts replaced from Forest River.<div>Being a natural born pessimist I'm wondering how long the transmission will last on my 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan with no towing package. Only 80,000 miles but it was the first year they put in a 5 speed automatic transmission.&nbsp;</div><div>Plan on escaping the heat and humidity of the Florida summer by traveling until I reach cool air.&nbsp;</div><div>Don Lewis</div>]]>

Met good folks and did pot luck around a bonfire Saturday night. &nbsp;Very enjoyable. &nbsp;R Pod performed beautifully and stayed warm with my Honeywell space heater. &nbsp;Looking to join Podders somewhere in mid to late April. &nbsp;Anyone going to the Shenandoah Valley? &nbsp;My Pod lives with me in Great Falls, VA. &nbsp;]]>
