Our kids use the dinette space, but the 3" foam we use on the crappy queen mattress would work on the dinette too. Actually, the dinette cushions are more comfortable than the bed!  We're looking at a thin Ikea mattress to use on top.<br />]]>

I bought full sized 3 inch dual foam mattress from Walmart. When Donna and I are ready for bed we put the dinette down, set the cushions I then put the 1/4th plywood down and then roll out the foam mattress. It sleeps like a million dollars.]]>

I leave the bedding on the 2 in chfoam when I roll it up.  ]]>
