It is amazing how much a 16" slide will make. It is a great addition. I am surprised that I &nbsp;have not seen any photo's from Admin as I assume we were at the same show this week based on the hybrid photo's.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>The queen bed is much easier to get in and out of now than the 171 if you can handle the increase in price and weight.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]>

As I recall from the rental, the slide out gives you about 12 - 18 extra inches only- much less than the typical slide out in a bigger unit, but really made a difference for us. I like having a sofa to curl up and read at night- a modification of the 173 would have been perfect for&nbsp;me with a dinette conversion in the rear and a large jack knife sofa in the front with the kitchen slide out (Hey FR....a 178???).]]>

It looks like the kitchen&nbsp;area will be narrower (less counterspace) and shorter (less overhead and under cabinet&nbsp;space) than a comparable 171 so that everything will fit in the 55" slide out&nbsp;- it would be interesting to see a side plan schematic to know how much you'd be giving up for the extra floor space - does anyone know how much far the slide out slides out? it looks like maybe 18-20 inches?<DIV></DIV><DIV></DIV>One plus of this new design would be that the crude looking cut out for shower access panel visible as soon as you enter the 171 would now be "hidden" on the bed side.]]>

No sliding parts to&nbsp;maintain, or leak, and the extra room just isn't that big a deal to us.&nbsp;After spending so many years on boats we've learned to live small. I wonder why.<br>]]>
