nesting pans : We bought the Magma induction...

    Author: StephenH
Subject: 4261
Posted: 02 May 2017 at 10:08am

We bought the Magma induction capable set of nesting cookware. One reason we really like it is that the handles lock on to the pans when installed. The pans can even be turned upside-down without falling off. It is unlike the old set we used to have where if the pan were tipped, it would fall of and spill everything.

A second reason we bought this set is that we carry an induction cooker and we wanted something that could be used on gas and induction. We also wanted something that was heavy-duty and not something thin and flimsy. The Magma cookware would compare very favorably with any quality stainless-steel cookware that would be desired for one's kitchen. The disk bottoms are heavy enough to distribute heat evenly.

To round out the set, we did buy a steamer/colander that fits the set although it does not nest with them. We also carry one non-stick skillet for things like eggs although if the Magma pan is used with some type of grease, either bacon, butter, or oil, eggs won't stick. We also purchased a stainless steel teakettle which is induction capable. We can use it on the induction cooktop or on the stove depending on whether we are on shore power or boondocking.
