David, I still have the 3500# axle, I checked on a heavier axle but they all need 15" rims, if it was just the axle I change it. As far as the weight goes, by taking of the box I had in the front and removing the AC (never used it in over 3 years) the weight is about the same. I found my tongue weight was always a little on the light site, I like to bring it up to about 400#. Looks great and everything looks well organised. I understand what you said a lot of angles to measure. I think when loaded you may be getting up to your axle weight limit if you still have the original axle. Looking forward to seeing what it looks like completed.
