Call Forest River and ask about the wiring.Or get one with Dometic, swap it out, have a spare or sell the brand new factory a/c to someone who needs one..<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1958" rel="nofollow">Sleepless</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 4021<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 26 Sep 2013 at 7:46pm<br /><br />I have had a few telecons this week with Couch's in Ohio about ordering a new 178.&nbsp; I did learn that FR has a contract with Dometic for all the R-Pod roof A/C units.&nbsp; I want only a Coleman, but that can not be ordered.&nbsp; The option is to order the pod without an air conditioner.&nbsp; Unfortunately, the sales rep could not tell me if it could be pre-wired for an A/C.&nbsp; Techntrek, I believe you were wondering about this in an earlier post.<br><br>He also confirmed my thoughts about pod prices in Florida, including used ones, are considerably higher than in the northern and Midwest states.&nbsp; <br><br>I called Giant Recreation in Melbourne, FL (about 45 miles south of me) and asked if they had a 178 that my wife and I could look at.&nbsp; I was told that R-Pods down here are so costly for them to buy that they no longer sell them.&nbsp; The bad is that I can not buy a new one in my area, the good is that the resale value is relatively high on used pods.&nbsp; Looks like there might be a 2010 173 on the market in the next month or two.<br><br>Bob<br><br><br>]]>
