    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1958" rel="nofollow">Sleepless</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3942<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 08 Sep 2013 at 9:59am<br /><br />Good point, Derek, one I forgot to mention.&nbsp; The vinyl strip will have a tendency to shift unless it is anchored at both ends.&nbsp; However, don't anchor it until it has had some time to acclimate.&nbsp; Chances are it will stretch in length a little when you insert it, so give it a little time to relax to its normal length.&nbsp; The first time I replaced a trim strip, I trimmed it to length right away.&nbsp; After a few days in the sun, it was a few inches too short.&nbsp; Allow a little extra length, and wait a few days before trimming. <br><br>Bob<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1958" rel="nofollow">Sleepless</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3942<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 08 Sep 2013 at 8:58am<br /><br />I have replaced the trim on 2 or 3 trailers that I have owned through the years.&nbsp; Normally the vinyl will last for many years.&nbsp; Removal of the old and insertion of new is very simple.&nbsp; Just squeeze the sides together and it come right out of the channel.&nbsp; 1" is the most common size but it does come in at least one other width.&nbsp; Cost is around $8.00 to $10.00 per roll and a pod would probably take 2 rolls.&nbsp; I would think it would be covered under warranty.&nbsp; <br><br>Bob<br>]]>

The 2012 R177 RPod was unscathed (no dents) with the exception of the black trim on both sides of the Pod. Only one side of the trim needed it replacing though. This black trim covers the screws on both sides of the Pod.<div><br></div><div>The dealer suggested buying a package of black trim and installing ourselves.
