No, there are no instructions - even online!  We use the convection oven just like a regular oven except it takes a little bit shorter time to cook regular recipes.  You'll have to just experiment a bit.  Once you figure out how to set it, that's the trick, (there are some vague instructions on the door of ours), you'll love it.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1442" rel="nofollow">P&M</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3839<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 16 Aug 2013 at 9:33am<br /><br />Use it all the time, including doing a turkey breast for our thanksgiving dinner out camping last fall.&nbsp; Use the metal plate when cooking in convection or conv/micro combination modes but make sure to remove it if you are just going to use the microwave by itself ... microwaves and metal do not mix.&nbsp; The programming takes a bit of time to figure out but it isn't too complicated.&nbsp; The instruction book that comes with it is informative for about the first 2 uses and then got set aside.&nbsp; As others have stated cooking in a convection oven is slightly different than cooking in a regular oven.&nbsp; When cooking less than 15 minutes and 350 degrees it runs pretty much true to a regular oven, but if you are going to cook hotter or longer than that you will normally need to make some adjustments to either your cooking time (shorter) or temp (cooler).<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>It was a huge selling point to us when we were looking, and to me is much more flexible than the small gas ranges that you find in some trailers.</DIV>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=598" rel="nofollow">kymooses</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3839<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 15 Aug 2013 at 8:01pm<br /><br />Love it, use if often, make most anything we make at home in the oven without much of a change in cooking time or temp.<div><br></div><div>That being said, I think it helps if you can cook by knowing something is done versus a true time. &nbsp;Seems a lot of ovens vary.</div><div><br></div><div>A lot of us will recommend getting to know your oven by making chocolate chip cookies. &nbsp;The store bought fridge rolls work great. &nbsp;It's an easy test of your ovens true temp and cooking time. &nbsp;Besides that no one ever minds a slightly over cooked chocolate chip cookie. &nbsp;And if it's under cooked then you just learned a bit about your oven's temp and you can dial in on that setting.</div><div><br></div><div>Other than that, always use the little raised metal table that comes in it. &nbsp;As you likely know that allows the convection to work by letting the air up and underneath what you're making. &nbsp;That's not to say you have to use it, but then especially we've had to change cooking times dramatically.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>]]>

Now another one. Can anyone offer feedback on the convection microwave oven. Do you use it, is it any good, any shortcomings? We are about two weeks away from the 178 and can't wait. Thanks.]]>
