I had to go look, you're correct. You are correct Charlie.  I have not had to lock in D3.  I find the rev's much too high.  It has kicked down there at times, but we are usually in D4.

Much better after adding E2 WDH.  It gets me there, but mostly in 4th gear, about 12 mpg.

You have probably already looked at this site, but just in case.  If you are looking at used R-Pods, my model, the 173, is discontinued but is another one of the lightest models.

Welcome.  Our last camper was a Coleman Grandview SP.  A lot of podders are former popup owners since you can tow it with the same TV (tow vehicle).  Personally I didn't want to tow a big 27-footer either.

If you like the outdoors, the garage models keep you put of the camper except to sleep.  That's why we have it.

glad to have you folks along for the ride.  there is a floorplan for just about every type of person.  you're sure to find one you'd like.

before we bought our Pod i spent a long time on the PuP and HuP forums, was a really great crowd there as well.

alex & linda here from new bern nc, we are interested in a few of the POD floorplans, so thought we'd come visit for awhile (and maybe ask some questions?). our last camper was a Coleman PUP which we enjoyed while the boys were growing up.
