I did take a 3 year extended warranty from dometic on the the 3 way fridge, it was reasonable and I knew the cost to replace it would be pretty high. Donna and I are on our third season with the pod with no failures, break downs , etc. it is a quality unit.]]>

Is that directly from the manufacturer? The only extended warranties they talked about were for 3 and 5 years, and they were several hundred dollars. I would go for a 2nd year at $150. I think one year is too skimpy.]]>

They will let you start them at almost any time. You can take your unit any place that fixes rigs and they only have to get approval before they start the work. We always try to do our homework and make sure we buy quality products, and I trust in my negotiating skills should an issue ever arise after the "standard" warranty has expired.  Never had a problem with any of our major purchases, and it would have cost me a lot of $$ over the years if I had bought the extended warranties on everything that they were offered on.]]>
