The campground has a dune across the back of it with two stairways that lead right to the ocean. It has full hook-ups, cable and good wi fi.
We went in October last year and out of the 26 days we were there , we had 2 days of rain and the rest was sunny and in the low 80's. night time temp was in the low 60's.

Campground staff were great!!! Also hit the Outer Banks seafood festival, Wright's brothers exhibit etc.

Rudy Austin's pedestrian-only ferry service from Ocracoke. The Martins offer vehicle ferry service from Atlantic, on the mainland south of Ocracoke. For the fare, and the time and effort involved, it's not a day trip, but it's a great place for tent-camping or a pickup camper.)

There is an abundance of commercial campgrounds on the Outer Banks with all sorts of amenities, including, of course, hookups. The National Park Service operates 4 campgrounds on the islands, none with any hookups at all. They do have cold water showers. The campgrounds at Oregon Inlet and Cape Point at Buxton, right by the Hatteras Light, are open and flat, but behind the dunes. Frisco and Ocracoke have more topography especially at Frisco. You can even find some sites with very limited exposure to neighbors, if that's what you want. Ocracoke tends to have more mosquitoes. Frisco, which is also on Hatteras just a few miles south of Hatteras Light, is my favorite. We were back there a little over a month ago.

TT
It was truly amazing. We saw dolphins swimming by, caught a lot of Blue fish, Pompano, Red drum and flounder. Also went blue crab fishing. The people were great! They have a lot of great resteraunts in the area. Cant say enough good things about it. Amazing sunries and sunsets!!!
We are heading back for half of Sept and all of October
