    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1976" rel="nofollow">DavidW</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3629<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 14 Jul 2013 at 10:47pm<br /><br /><DIV>Survived and enjoyed our first weekend away to Voyageur Provincial Park, Ontario in our new 2014 R-Pod 178.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>The only modification we made before we left was to&nbsp;put an Ikea Lycksele Havet mattress on top of&nbsp;the queen bed.&nbsp; (Another poster suggested replacing the queen mattress with&nbsp;a Lycksele Lovas mattress but it didn't&nbsp;suit us).</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>A highlight of the&nbsp;weekend was to drop in to see ron_whitt in&nbsp;Chesterville on the way home.&nbsp; (I'm on the left in front of our&nbsp;178&nbsp;with Lily, our golden retriever.&nbsp; Ron is on the right with his 177.)</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Many thanks for the hospitality, Ron.&nbsp; See you at Murphys Point Provincial Park next year!</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>David</DIV><DIV><img src="http://www.rpod-owners.com/uploads/1976/r&#111;n_whitt_July_14_2013.jpg" height="637" width="960" border="0" /></DIV>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1976" rel="nofollow">DavidW</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3629<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 19 Jun 2013 at 11:00am<br /><br />Hello ron_whitt,<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Sorry that we won't be at Murphys Point this weekend.&nbsp; It is actually our favourite Provincial Park.&nbsp; Our preferred site was 147 in Fallows but it doesn't allow travel trailers.&nbsp; We typically went on the long weekend before school and took in the Perth Fair and picked up some local corn to boil.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>We have booked Murphys Point for mid-September and will be in 61 in Hoggs Bay.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>We also went back to Charleston Lake last year and discovered that they have an area away from the beach where dogs are allowed to swim off leash.&nbsp; Needless to say we are heading back there at the end of August.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Coupled with&nbsp;Bonnechere at the beginning of August and Grundy Lake near Sudbury for the Thanksgiving Weekend we don't have many weekends left ;-)</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>If this&nbsp;schedule doesn't give the R-Pod a work-out, I don't know what will.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>BTW, I hear that there was a mini-convention of R-Pods last year at Murphy's Point.&nbsp; Sounds like a plan.&nbsp; Maybe there are more of us in Ontario than I thought.&nbsp; (Yes, we are getting ours from Travel-Mor).</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Cheers,</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>David&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>]]>

I did put a waterproof mattress pad and fitted sheet over the cushions for protection. No topper for them as they are small and lightweight.  Our teen is sleeping on the floor on a camping mat.  In front of the fridge might be a good spot for a dog - out of the doorway and access to toilet. ]]>

This July we are taking the pod down to Florida to visit our son who is in the Marines, and the other three kids want to see their brother of course, so we will be squeezing as many of us as we can in the pod and drawing straws for the tent. &nbsp;]]>
