Always use the metal tray.

2. Use only cookware that you would use in a regular oven -- not plastic or melamine or anything else.

3. When cooking items for longer than 20 minutes either decrease the time a bit or decrease the temp a bit ... it cooks faster than in a regular oven.

4. You can pre-heat the oven before putting food in, which works better (once you figure out how to do it).

When cooking in Microwave mode, always follow the same rules as for a regular microwave. Don't use the metal tray, don't use metal cookware, etc.

Last week I had time to play with it, and by carefully reading I was able to use it for all the functions. I know that I may be able to remember how to use it for this season, but next year I will have to do it again. I think I will copy the important pages and laminate them. Then I can keep the sheets next to the oven and have a chance of making it work again.
