There is a difference in Dry weight (no liquids) and unloaded weight. The 171 with your AC, Microwave, Furnace, HW Heater, Propane, and Battery weighs around 2700 pounds. Then add about 300 to that for the stuff you will carry and you will be very close to 3000# if not over. Don't even think about using that TV unless it is disposable. You will rip the gizzard out of it.

It is sad that some dealers will say things that are not true just to make a sale. If you are unable to change your tow vehicle you could look at some of the small lite weight campers that are not self contained those just for sleeping. Sorry David

My 3.7 liter liberty is a little under powered when I get in the hills. Also there is more to the tow rating than power. The pat is just too light to tow a pod. The Liberty weighs a thousand pounds more and in a cross wind the trailer can throw it around. Third point you can easily add 1000 pounds to the dry weight by the time you get everything in.

Sorry to be such a downer but unless you can afford a new tow vehicle I would hold off on purchasing a pod
