    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1014" rel="nofollow">Camper Bob</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3497<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 04 Jun 2013 at 12:16pm<br /><br /><P>As someone who likes to cook, smoke, fry, etc. I would check out the BTU rating of each burner.&nbsp; Many of the grills only have 10,000 BTU's (British Thermal Units).&nbsp; The larger ones have up to 15,000 BTU's which heats water faster for boiling and cooking.&nbsp; Of course you can also get a free standing one or two burner setups that have about 30,000 BTU's each for that deep fryer for the turkey or any other large and fast cooking needs.&nbsp; They can be purchased for about $100 for a double at most discount stores.&nbsp; We have a 40 year old Coleman white gas stove and a Weber portable for steaks.&nbsp; Safe Travels.</P>]]>

But we picked up our second little gas bbq from wallyworld for ( I think) $30 when they go on sale.&nbsp; It fits nicely in the storage compartment and does the job from foil poatatoes, steaks, pork chops, french toast etc.&nbsp; When the one we are using now bites the dust we have the new one already to go.&nbsp; ]]>

Unfortunately we couldn't find one with the features we wanted that&nbsp;was squat enough to&nbsp;fit in our Pod storage compartment. We ended up with a Coleman RX which is big, but fits the compartment. It has both grill and griddle areas. It's very nice. In fact, it's the only grill we now own. We leave the stand at home, and when camping grill on the picknic table or tailgate. Either Weber or Coleman are good quality grills.]]>

We used a little silicon spray in the dome track and have our time down to about 10 minutes for set up. We also previously had a pop-up&nbsp; with the attached outside gas grill and loved it. We now have a Weber Q which is compact and very handy, we use it all the time!<div>Enjoy!</div>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1892" rel="nofollow">Jody</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3497<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 17 May 2013 at 6:53pm<br /><br />Happily camping in our new 176T that we picked up on Thursday. &nbsp;LOVING it &nbsp;except I really miss my mounted gas stove on my Pop UP. &nbsp;Hate cooking inside. &nbsp;Any suggestions on a compact grill with burners?<div>Obviously want something that can pack up easily. &nbsp;I usually use charcoal for grilling but do like to use a burner now and then</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp;R-Pod is working great &nbsp;Just started raining and had a little trouble with the Dome, instructions were terrible... as if they were for a different canopy altogether but we got it up in the nick of time. &nbsp;Nice extra room especially when raining.</div><div>&nbsp; Just finished &nbsp;beef stroganoff that I cooked in my Lodge cast iron dutch oven over coals.. &nbsp;Yum...</div><div><br></div><div>Country Roads RV did an excellent job with our orientation and our trade in on our used Viking. &nbsp;Highly recommend them.</div><div><br></div><div>Jody &amp; Steve 1st time podders</div><div>Frisco &amp; Hattie</div><div>2013 176T</div><div>2012 Yukon Denali</div><div><br></div>]]>
