I wouldn't own one.. but they do appear to be way safer than a guy who's daily driver is an Expedition, and when I really need to haul something, an Excursion, would have thought. <br><br>We have a VW GTI (our 4th) for fun and goofing.. it gets pretty darn good mileage for the smileage..<br><br>Way better than the old Mustang.. but it's ALL smiles.. <br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1173" rel="nofollow">Racer|X|</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3358<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 31 Mar 2013 at 3:39pm<br /><br />I'm 6'4"....I have a 64 mile round trip drive. &nbsp;I bought a Ford Escape Hybrid for my work commute. &nbsp;I get 32 mpg in winter...30 or so in summer due to a/c. &nbsp;I fit nicely....more room than my Explorer and double the mpg. &nbsp;It is also All-wheel drive which gives me secure feeling when driving all winter. &nbsp;Ford stopped making it when they went to the new Escape platform which I think is Fusion based. &nbsp;I like it for my size.<div><br></div><div>You may want to check out the Ford C-Max Hybrid. &nbsp;Better MPG than the Smart car, much bigger and more practical. &nbsp;My friends In-Laws bought one and love it. &nbsp;I test drove it and I fit nicely. &nbsp;Seems like a nice car. &nbsp;May be more $ than the Smart. &nbsp;I have read a lot of mixed reviews in Smart. &nbsp;Not much bang for the buck except the 40 mpg and many bigger more standard cars beat that now. &nbsp;Something to consider.<br><div><br></div><div>Good luck, hope the Smart works out.</div></div>]]>
