We cut a wooden dowel (3/4in) I believe, long enough to just fit inside the width of the pod sitting on the tongue.  We bought a weaved plastic rug from walmart.  We drilled a hole in each end of the dowel, when we roll the rug onto the dowel we take 2 small bungy cords to hold the rug onto the dowel. there is no floor in the dome, we use an outdoor rug that is 8x10 and fits perfectly. After camping we roll up the rug and put it in plastic rug bag and travel with it inside the Pod. If the ground is damp we put an 8x10 tarp under the rug. We also have a 5x7 rug we put down just outside the dome. All the comforts of home.

My wife and I pull it up, shake it out, then folder it up into a neat rectangular pack using a Velcro strap it comes with. Stores great as a tight package.... We also have the poly mat and like it so far. Does collect dirt but that's what it's for. Easy to  shake out and wash.

BTW, did you notice the info on the Amazon site:  "Light weight, easy to wear out". I beg to differ, but if you prefer a tarp, by all means, feel free!

I have used both a tarp and the patio mat recommended above. It is not
carpet- it is woven polyester in a fairly open weave that does not
accumulate grit and water the way a tarp does. Once a tarp is wet, it
stays wet in my experience. It is impossible to clean, short of hosing
it down in the driveway at home.

The patio mat, unless recently rained upon, sweeps clean on site, folds
compactly into its case, (yes, bulkier than a tarp, but surprisingly
light weight), and stows neatly in the "basement" of our 177 alongside
the r-dome.

To each his own, but we definitely prefer the mat.

Just put a tarp on the ground inside the Rdome.  If you put a rug there, you'll be tracking home all the dirt from every campsite.  Many of them provide some gritty stuff that won't shake out of a rug easily.  A tarp is much easier to shake off and clean when you pack up and go.  It's also easier to stow and lighter.  If you need a carpet, just get a small one and put it below your step or carpet your steps.

Welcome Rugby8.  The dome has no floor.  It is approx 8x10 feet.  A 9x12 poly rug fits well with some overlap outside the dome.  If you have risers installed, the bottom flaps are a bit short and the dome looks akilter from the front of the pod, because it is about 3.5-4inches higher on the pod side.  I made a pair of 8x8" risers from 4x4 PT post, drilled a 5/16" hole in the center and use them to anchor the spring pole.  Makes it look better and easier to anchor all around.
