We visited a dealer a week or so ago and looked at the rPod, a KZ Spree and a Lance. The Lance was ruled out as it was just in a different price class. The Spree had lower ceilings than I like (I'm 6'3"). We LOVED the rPod. Now it's just a matter of finding the right one on the used market. We figure we are a year or so off.

We went to Glacier as well on the same road trip. Saw 2 bears and was able to rid my bike down the pass- which was a blast though a bit scary at the top!

This year we will be doing another road trip: Tetons, Sawtooths, Oregon/N. California coast, Redwoods, and then back through Moab or Arches!

After a few years of tent camping we moved up to pop-ups.  Rockwood 1982-1992 and then a Jayco 6 sleeper 1993-2010, when our youngest went to Afghanistan and we found ourselves 'empty nesters' we looked long and hard at what was available.  It was hands down with the R-Pod.  We have thoroughly enjoyed ours.  We normally dry camp.  Probably our favorite so far was Glacier for a couple weeks back in Sept. We stayed in our tent setup at the Madison campground last year for 3 nights. Was a good experience. We also love, Love, LOVE the Canyon area! Even though it's a hike down, it's SO worth walking to see the brink of the upper falls. Just remember: it's not the hike down that get's you, it's coming back up!

One of the reasons we are looking at a trailer is that it seems it would be so much easier to stay in one area and thoroughly explore it and then move on to the next area and do the same. We like to take our bicycles with us as well to make for more fun!

At any rate: Yellowstone should be on everyone's short list of must visit places to visit.

My little introduction:

My wife and I have been slowly moving from backpacking, to car camping, to luxury car camping (a REALLY big tent with cots instead of sleeping on the ground), and now we are having alot of fun looking at small RV's. I thought I had in narrowed down to a Livin'Lite trailer until I found the r-Pod. Now we are looking forward to heading up to Denver (we live in Colorado Springs) to have a look at one (our local dealer doesn't stock them).

We LOVE Yellowstone having been there three times together (and thinking of another trip) and living in the west gives us PLENTY of places to go to. As a matter of fact, we are thinking of our next road trip tonight!

I'm a pretty handy guy, so I plan on all kinds of mods to our Pod once we get one (I had a list but my computer crashed while making it but I hadn't saved it Ouch). I own a small company that specializes in home automation and home theater installations so you can expect the random product or two that I find that I think would be good for Podders: But I'm NOT looking to sell anything here- it's not my style.
