Thanks so much everyone for your replies!

We have decided to order the fully loaded rpod 178, making the trip to ON and pick it up in May.
We'll be able to camp on the way home in the USA/Canada.
We did wonder if there would be issues bringing it back from ON, going through the US before getting back into Canada.
The dealer said we'll have a temporary permit for 7 or 10 days (he's checking it out), to allow us to enjoy it on our way back. He is even letting us camp on the back field of the property overnight, after we purchase it, so we can ask any further questions that we may have. That may be a good plan.
I'm already looking at pics online to see where to put everything in the trailer, and keep looking at the various swatches to pick the color inside! My hubby is just shaking his head ;)

I know our local one does their own customers first, so we may wait months for service.
This is what we have to decide, but the $ saved may be worth it.

I think it depends on your local dealer. Hi podders!

We're from Nova Scotia, Canada and hope to purchase the rpod 178 soon this winter.
We went inside an rpod today to check out all its features. So excited to have our own!
We have some mods to make with our vehicle, then we'll be ready for Spring/Summer camping.
Tented for 12 yrs, then had a tent trailer x 18 yrs, so the rpod will be for our next adventures.
This forum has been invaluable, helping us decide on an rpod. They're pretty cute too!

Terry,

I'm having trouble uploading pictures. I have composed a document in MS Word including 4 images totaling 325KB. Each image is less than 100 KB. I've tried pasting from Word and tried pasting in the individual images, but always get an error. The error says operation not allowed. Text seem to work OK. I also get the error when I try to "preview post". Any ideas or suggestions?

CharlieM, welcome, yah got the R Pod fever, I hope it lasts a long time. the pod looks aerodymic, it pulls light but I noticed when I hit about 50 or 55 it is like pulling a parachute. We have just returned from our maiden voyage with our new2013 RP-172. Two Florida State parks, 350 miles at 10.8 MPG, and two setup/teardown sequences. The tow vehicleis a 2010 Honda Pilot. All went well and everything worked. With the E2equalizer hitch I couldn’t tell the trailer was there except for the reducedgas mileage and decreased acceleration. 

We special ordered the RP-172 from Bama RV in Dothan, AL August3 and it took about 10 weeks to receive it, but it was worth the wait. Weordered it with dual batteries, the RDome, A/C, Microwave, TV, etc. The dealerinstalled dual propane tanks and the E2 hitch. The folks at Bama RV were veryknowledgeable and helpful and a pleasure to do business with. I recommend themif you’re in the area.

Although we are new members, I have been lurking on theforum for about five months, collecting ideas and comments. Lots of greatideas, suggestions, and cautions.  Icredit the forum members for the success of our first outing.

Mods to date include the 60 inch sewer carrier tube from DWInc. and the 15 foot Rhino Superflex sewer kit, Oxygenics shower head and Dancobrass shutoff, dual propane tanks and batteries, hooks, shelves, curtains, andmany more small outfitting things. Just completed installing four 12 voltsockets to the left and behind the microwave and am now working on bed risersand tongue mounting the spare tire.  Picturesto follow.

We are glad to be a part of the RPOD community and arelooking forward to many hours and miles in the pod.
