    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=410" rel="nofollow">TerryM</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3059<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 29 Oct 2012 at 4:01pm<br /><br />Yep, when the waves are rolling they can be heard in the campground.&nbsp; I live just a couple of miles from the park and have taken the Pod there a couple of times.&nbsp; I have also gone there just to set and watch the waves while setting on that soft white sand.&nbsp; <br><br>If anyone comes even close to Saint Augustine this park should be checked out.&nbsp; There is also a lot of covered pick-nick tables.<br><br>Terry<br>]]>

   <title>Florida State Parks- Anastasia :  Anastasia State Park is a HUGE...</title>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1464" rel="nofollow">coopercdrkey</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3059<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 25 Oct 2012 at 6:01pm<br /><br /><img src="https://www.rpod-owners.com/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />Anastasia State Park is a <i style="font-weight: bold; ">HUGE </i>chunk of incredibly valuable real estate that has been set aside by the State of Florida for the enjoyment of not only our citizens, but for anyone who ventures down A1A to the somewhat poorly marked entrance road.<div><br></div><div>The sites range from a "loop" that is most suited to tenters, to several more that accommodate everything from our R-Pod, to 40 footers with power and water at each site. &nbsp;No sewer on site, but a three-lane dump station on the exit road, just beyond the trash compactor station.</div><div><br></div><div>Sites are in what is described as a "costal hammock", which means shaded by oaks and palms, but the <b>"Ocean"</b>&nbsp;is just down the road! &nbsp;And what an amazing beach awaits campers who park in the day lot and take the boardwalk over the dunes to the open Atlantic. &nbsp;There were large rollers coming in while we were there, and the sound of the surf could be heard from our site. &nbsp;(Or maybe it was the combined drone of our air conditioners..... &nbsp;Don't know for sure.)</div><div><br></div><div>A comprehensive Beach Grill and Gift Shop / Camper Supply was open from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm week days- &nbsp;a little later on weekends, and possibly even later during season.</div><div><br></div><div>Pets are not allowed on the beach- &nbsp;a common restriction among Florida State Parks- &nbsp;but a couple of miles south on A1A Beach Road we found Public Parking with beach access and, in many instances, public rest rooms. &nbsp;Another amazing dedication of valuable real estate to the common wealth. &nbsp;There are tons of them! &nbsp;The Campin' Cocker Spaniels got their first exposure to "ocean". &nbsp;Reaction was mixed....</div><div><br></div><div>In all, we had a very relaxing visit and broke down wishing we had more time. &nbsp;<img src="https://www.rpod-owners.com/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /></div><div><br></div><div>&nbsp;</div>]]>
