    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=217" rel="nofollow">techntrek</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3038<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 12 Nov 2012 at 8:34pm<br /><br /><p>Welcome gnawbone. &nbsp;I had a 2003 Sienna, with 215 horsepower. &nbsp;It was marginal - fine for backroads, fine on a flat highway. &nbsp;But it had to downshift to 2nd to maintain speed on grades at highway speed, and one trip to Florida I had a full day of heavy headwind and I physically couldn't maintain full speed (mpg dropped to 8, too).</p><p>The newer Siennas have more power and torque so they should do better. &nbsp;The Siennas have a fairly short wheel base and a very soft suspension no matter what model year, so I highly highly recommend a weight distribution hitch like the E2 or Equalizer.</p>]]>

If we had bought our Pod 1.5 years sooner, we'd still have my 8 cyl SUV. Instead, traded 8 cyl SUV for 4 cyl car (gas mileage), then traded 4 cyl car for 6 cyl truck (towing) to buy Pod. My least favorite question when I tell my buddies about the Pod and they see the new truck, "Didn't you used to have an SUV?"     <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1420" rel="nofollow">danthoman</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3038<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 18 Oct 2012 at 2:20pm<br /><br />First it was the R-pod, then all the goodies for the new R-pod, then the new hitch and the 7 pin connector and the brake controller.&nbsp; Then I decided that the 4 cylinder Tacoma might be a bit lacking in power and the Xterra (with a small 6 cylinder) weighted so much it wasn't a much better tow vehicle&nbsp; than the Tacoma.&nbsp; So, out I go and buy a new Tacoma with a 6 cylinder.&nbsp; It's a good thing I have the R-pod.&nbsp; I might have to sell the house to pay for everything else. &nbsp;<img src="https://www.rpod-owners.com/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" />]]>
