    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1442" rel="nofollow">P&M</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 2983<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 03 Oct 2012 at 8:54am<br /><br />Even while we were tent camping we usually brought along our crockpot&nbsp;since it is so incredibly easy to make this and only requires a few ingredients.&nbsp; <DIV></DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>1 - Onion sliced (optional depending on if you like onions)</DIV><DIV>1 - 3-4# Pork Roast (butt or shoulder is best)</DIV><DIV>1 - Can of regular Dr. Pepper or Coke (your choice)</DIV><DIV>1 - Regular size bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Slice onion and put half in the crockpot.&nbsp; Place pork roast on top and then scatter remaining onion over the top.&nbsp; Pour in can of Dr Pepper or Coke.&nbsp; Lid on crockpot and then cook on low for 8 hours or until pork will pull apart with a fork.&nbsp; Take out roast, shred with forks/fingers, discard onions &amp; soda in the crockpot, and then put the shredded pork back into the crockpot.&nbsp; Add the bottle of BBQ sauce, mix it up, cover it and then heat it up on high for about an hour or on low for about 2 hours.&nbsp; Eat as is or on buns for sammich's -- we typically will eat it alone for dinner with some sides and then make sammich's out of the leftovers for the next day.</DIV>]]>
