    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=217" rel="nofollow">techntrek</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 2939<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 23 Sep 2012 at 9:17pm<br /><br />Yes, the risers would help with that situation since they will move the "arm" at the end of the axle away from the frame. &nbsp;I don't think the smart brake controllers would catch a single severed brake - both brakes are wired in parallel, so it would still detect a proper connection. &nbsp;Theoretically they could measure the resistance of the whole system which would change when one brake is removed, but there would be so many other factors affecting resistance I don't think that is possible. &nbsp;Multiple axles, different resistances of different brake models, etc.]]>
