Maybe that mechanism is responsible. I can't imagine the valve itself making noise unless there was something loose.]]>

That particular tank seems to be working fine now hooked up to the Weber grill....maybe less of a draw? not sure......but everything works quietly now so we are happy! We are towing down to the KOA in Rodanthe, NC for a month so we wanted everything working well. We usually hit the Flying J in Maryland on our first night, so we use the gas for the stove and water heater.]]>

Then I switched the tank with the 20 lb tank from our Weber grill and the honking was gone. So no, this is not normal for it to make noise. I'm not sure if they're serviceable, but maybe you can get your dealer to exchange it since it was delivered that way.]]>

Check outside by the gas tank when it's making the noise or put your hand on the regulator to see if it's the source. Luckily it's cheap and easy to replace.]]>
