Welcome Burt and Laura,

You have already gotten so  many great storage ideas but I will add another one. We use the Christmas wrapping paper storage bins inside the outside storage holds. We are able to put the things we use the most inside and the bin slides out easily . Enjoy

Welcome Burt and Laura, and Pugspod!  About storage ideas - here are just a few:  

--10 gallon rubbermaid-type tubs (or larger if they will fit) - I have 2 in the dinette storage bench.  Some people put clothes in them, but I have canned and dry foods like cereal in one of mine.  I have 2 rolling laundry baskets under my bed.  In one I store my clothes - in the other I store spare kitchen stuff.  

--Over the bathroom door I have an over-the-door shoe pocket - it's amazing what kinds of things that will hold - trash bags, wash cloths, dish towels, a first aid kit, toilet paper, etc.  

--Above the fridge on that little shelf, I have 3 small rectangular baskets that hold all kinds of little goodies - tape measure, a small level, all kinds of knick knacks.

-- In the bathroom:  I have a corner shelf (spring tension rod from floor to ceiling) in the bathroom, and a mesh hanging storage pocket from the dollar store mounted on the wall and held up with 3M hooks.  I also have a small plastic tub with a snap on lid that will hold a couple of rolls of toilet paper and keep them dry - it just sits on the floor by the toilet.  I mounted a little basket on the wall (again with 3M hooks), which holds soap and toothpaste by the sink.  And from Camping World I got some stick-on toothbrush holders.  I also have a Coleman mirror which I bought from the camping section at Walmart - I stuck it up with 3-M velcro.  The velcro is handy if you might need to take something back off the wall to clean it.

-- I have multiple 3M Command stick-on hooks on the wall in the kitchen to hang utensils, and I have a stick-on spice rack on the wall.  I mounted a wall clock by the bathroom door - again with 3M velcro so I could take down the clock to change batteries - and the velcro keeps the clock from bouncing around when towing.

-- I also have a coat rack with hooks by the Pod door.

That is not all I have, but it's enough for you to take in now.  I hope some of these ideas for storage will also work for you.  Happy Podding!

Just last week we traded our Lance Truck Camper 815 for a 2010 R-Pod 177.  We are full-timers and most think we were crazy for living in the Lance, much less the r-pod.  We believe in keeping things simple and this Pod fits the bill.  We pull it with a 3/4 ton pickup so we have extra storage for all the  things we can't get into the trailer, in the bed of the truck.  We are also workampers so don't spend 24 hours a day in the trailer either.

Hello Burt and Laura and welcome to this wonderful tribe of strangers that share the life of living in a small strange shaped fiberglass egg!

My suggestion is to turn off the TV (the boob tube, not the vehicle), start at the top of each topic on this forum and the other one and spend several evenings exploring the adventures we have shared. it be like sitting around the table sharing a pitcher of beer or iced tea ort your favorite soft (or hard ) drink. go to the beginning of each thread and work your way to the presnt day. tha amount of information is totally unbelievable, if not overwhelming ( ) . {In any event it is more info than we can input in a single post!!
So, enjoy your new toy! Remember that we all started where you are not so long ago!!
All the best with your new toy. ask lots of questions, send more pictures and become part of the clan!

Greetings to any and all.  We are a recently retired couple with our first ever trailer, it's a 2012 RPOD 171 Hood River edition which we just brought home.

We have never owned a trailer much less an RPOD.

Any and all advice, comments and compliments will be gratefully read and returned if requested.

One thing off the bat is what are the essentials to take with you when going off in your RPOD for a few days?

Any storage ideas?

We will send a picture later.  Right now, we are still drooling and thinking about where to go.
