I don't know... dome is in the basement hung up on a bunch of stuff... It was pretty nasty by the time we tried to roll it up, and wet. Supposed to be nice the next couple days, will probably mount it on the pod and rinse it off, let it dry, then put it away.

"Near us" is Otter Creek, and Camp Carlson (military, belongs to Ft Knox). Both are OK. All sites are electric near as I could tell at O'Bannon. None with water near as I could tell either. Sites may be a bit close, but there was no one within 10 sites of us either direction.. I would say less than 10% full. I am pretty sure we will camp there again if we get the chance. Lots of hiking/Mt biking.

It is about 25 or 30 minutes from our house, we drove through it last fall when the leaves were off and the sites looked a little close, I could not tell if they were electric sites, I think we drove through during deer season and I may not have got a good look at the layout. BAHH! If you had come to O'Bannon Woods, I would have hooked you up with the aroma of thick sliced hickory smoked bacon, tater's and onions, farm fresh, laid Thursday eggs, and whole wheat toast..  As I age, I refuse to give up what got me here.... I just don't have 6 slaices of bacon and four eggs and 4 pieces of toast, with grits, biscuit and gravy any more.

Oh, and showers.. lol, weather said "chance of showers" Sat eve.. started "showering" about 7pm.. was tsill showering when we broke camp at 2pm Sun.

Got back from first outing for 2012, went to Hoosier Nat Forest. Perfect weather no need for a/c. Thursday night, all day Friday, Friday night and then hook up and go, got home around 2pm. Great weather. We did a lot of walking and tried to eat smart, I wanted fried eggs, bacon, toast, fried potato's for breakfast, but Donna is doing really well with weight watchers so we did fresh cubed fruit, rye toast and it was really good. Some one on this site gave me a tip to try the Coleman fold and go gas grill, this little unit is perfect, did hamburgers with sauteed yellow/red peppers, white onion came out great, easy to clean, you can close the lid and hold in the heat, am looking forward to using it again. We may hit it again this upcoming weekend and have made reservations for the future on line. Recreation.gov is a great sight and easy to navagate, it shows federal parks and recreation area. We live in the middle of 15 acres of hardwoods, far out in the country.. yet we love to go camping, and even OCP, 30 minutes away, is considered a good weekend. Heck we have just gone out to the camper in the driveway and been happy..

It was pretty empty actually, C Loop and D Loop are now both water and electric.  Well most of D loop.
 
No repaving, roads go from gravel to potholes to mud to semi paved every few yards.
 
Aside from most all the sites being pretty unlevel and some weird places for the fire pits at a few of them I was pleased with OCP, especially with is proximity to home!

we were going to MtBike on friday afternoon.. then it didn't work out.. Ouch

I think I am going to try to get her to meet me at O'Bannon woods this weekend. She had to drive to Chicago for the week.

We had talked about going to the BBQ festival there in Owensboro also.  Not sure now of the dates though, as I haven't looked lately.
 
Just got back from Otter Creek today ourselves.  Wonderful weather all weekend pretty much, aside from a severe storm Friday night which was fun to listen to from safely in the Pod.

Furpod, going to Hoosier National, Donna is going nuts, she said turn the ac on in the pod, I am going to sweep and take inventory. I think we are going to be able to put it together and head out next weekend. Donna is going to take off friday, so we can leave thurday afternoon, run west for 40 minutes, set up and have thurday evening, all day friday and friday night, leave around 2 on saturday, Good Grief, I have been waiting for 5 months to Roll Out. Hopefully, since the former owner didn't use it, the plumbing was still dry as it came from the factory.  Let us know how it turns out.  Interesting that it was purchased by someone yet never used unless extenuating circumstances came up.  Certainly you will enjoy your 177; we certainly have.

Sounds like a great time. That is one of the few Lewis and Clark sites in MO that I haven't visited. We are getting ready to head out on our 4th podding weekend of the year. This time to Arrow Rock State Park in Central MO. Yes, it seems that everyone wants to look an an R-pod. Hey Jato,   Greetings from a fellow Yooper.  We just bought a 2011 177 this week, and I'm just getting into opening up the cabinets to check on the plumbing.  We are in the far western Upper Peninsula, and will do this year's camping at the Porkies and in Wisconsin's Apostles Islands...possibly a trip to the Munising area.  Everything seems to be in order with the pod, but I am suspicious since the former owner didn't use it (it's brand new), but didn't properly winterize it either.

Please keep posting your travels, and experiences.

Great to hear you had a grand time.  Isn't it funny how much attention the pod brings to the campground?  We have only had ours for 1 year but every place we have camped at we have given at least 1 tour to some interested our curious person(s).  And like you mentioned, some get pretty excited after seeing the interior.  Only wish Warren Buffett would give us some kick-backs for selling his unitsLOL.
We will be heading out for our 1st trip next weekend to Manistique (UP) Michigan.  Looking forward to that.

We got home last night from a week at Fort Massic State Park in Metropolis, Il.  Dar attended the big quilt show in Paducah, KY across the Ohio River, and I explored, relaxed, and enjoyed.
 
The 177 worked perfectly, and got lots of attention as usual.  One couple in a class A liked it so much they are thinking of changing over to one.
 
The campground is a really good one generally, well established, clean, lots of big trees, lots of space between sites.  I wasn't happy with the showers (two) or the bathroom, so this time we used our bathroom and shower as primary, and it worked fine.  I am getting used to the small space and have a better idea about how to make it work well for me.  Dar had that figured out last year.  I am a slow learner. 
 
While exploring we found the point of land where the Mississippi and Ohio rivers come together.  Lewis and Clark and company spent some time learning navigation at this point, and there is a marker on the site to note that.  It looks to have been a park, but hasn't had much done except some of the grass mowed for a long time.  There is even an overgrown campground on the site, with electricity run to the sites, all abandoned now.
 
I am not sure at this time what my employment status is going to be this summer.  If things go well this will be the first of several week long trips and a bunch of weekends.  I hope that is the case because Podding sure is fun!
