I can pick up a rug and shake it out. The smooth floor is clean with just a couple of broom sweeps or a quick mopping. We don't have to haul a AC or DC powered vacuum anymore. Just a small broom, dustpan, and small mop.
I find I am constantly sweeping the floor even though we take off our shoes at the door either outside or inside on the door mat. The door mat has been washed several times because of mud from camping in wet weather. We also carry a couple of those interlocking foam mats to throw down outside below the step. They seem to help with the tracked-in dirt and are easily hosed off. A small mat that can be thrown in the washer seems more practical to me.

B

Little house dogs jumping off the bed at night to get a drink of water and when they hit the floor they usually end up sliding a bit.
